Engemon, a Brazilian company specialized in multidisciplinary engineering, electronic and IT systems, has just finished building the new data center for Equinix, a data center and interconnection services company. Called SP3 and located in Santana de Parnaíba (SP), the data center is the largest in Latin America and the company’s fifth in Brazil, developed based on the concepts of sustainability and green IT.
The Brazilian company carried out the work in turnkey systems, being responsible for the civil, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning engineering, the installation of fiber optics, structured cabling, and software monitoring of the entire data center, in addition to special detection, alarm, and fire-fighting systems, which include the efficient Water Mist fire-extinguishing system (new for data centers), using high-pressure water mist.
